Greenhouse Watering Systems

As any gardener will know, watering plants and vegetables is extremely important. If you have a large garden or greenhouse it can also be a pain. In addition, crops in greenhouses generally, require more watering than those in the garden.

The selection of Greenhouse Watering Systems shown here will help you to automate the irrigation process, keeping your plants supplied with the right amount of moisture.

There are several systems for automatic watering, they include:

  • Drip Irrigation – provides a steady drip feed of water. Systems can be set up to cover a large area or many plants. Can be used with a water timer.
  • Self-Watering – allows plants to take as much water as they need. Good for small systems such as feeding individual plants, like house plants.
  • Capillary Watering – usually provided by placing special matting under plants, fed by a reservoir, the plants can be water from the base.
  • Misting – As the name suggest, this watering system provides a mist to cover the plants all over. These systems word well inside a greenhouse or polly tunnel.

The equipment required for each system varies and we aim to provide you with lots of helpful tips and advice for choosing the right one. Whilst most of the information is aimed at greenhouse irrigation systems, most of the equipment can also be used for automatically watering the garden, a polly tunnel, conservatory or even hanging baskets.
