There are several systems for automatic watering, they include:
- Drip Irrigation – provides a steady drip feed of water. Systems can be set up to cover a large area or many plants. Can be used with a water timer.
- Self-Watering – allows plants to take as much water as they need. Good for small systems such as feeding individual plants, like house plants.
- Capillary Watering – usually provided by placing special matting under plants, fed by a reservoir, the plants can be water from the base.
- Misting – As the name suggest, this watering system provides a mist to cover the plants all over. These systems word well inside a greenhouse or polly tunnel.
